Would You Cruise With Jennifer Aniston or Johnny Depp?
But the survey, commissioned by the British Passenger Shipping Association, found most adults (53 percent) would by far rather take their partner or a friend to share their cruise cabin. In fact, Aniston, the top-ranked of the celebrities, was chosen as a cabin-mate by only 8 percent of the respondents.
The survey also asked where people would like to go on an "ultimate" cruise.
The results show a cruise that would set sail from Venice, and include port calls in Barcelona, New York, Luxor (Egypt) and Singapore. The cruise would also take in the Northern Lights, which 57 percent say is the natural phenomenon they would most like to see from a cruise ship.
Nearly 59 percent of respondents chose the "chance to see lots of destinations and countries" as the most appealing aspect of cruising.
But back on a fantasy note, respondents say if they were invited to the Captain's Table they'd rather have as their escort Jack Sparrow of "Pirates of the Caribbean" (26 percent) than famous real-life British explorer Captain James Cook (20 percent).
The survey of 2,101 adults was conducted online by YouGov.
