T.R. Knight Selling Over-Improved L.A. Home for a Feverish $4 Million
Knight poured a bunch of money into restoring the home, which by all accounts is quite lovely. But the good doctor may be facing an uphill battle against the disease called Housing Market Anemia, for which there is apparently still no known cure coming out of Washington.
Knight was always one of the more interesting players in the popular TV drama, at least for his off-camera antics. He was forced out of the proverbial closet after his former cast-mate Isaiah Washington used a homophobic slur to describe him. Washington was booted from the show and Knight went public about being homosexual -- apparently not something he planned on announcing. Knight hung in on the show a while longer but then quit, saying that he wanted to pursue other options. He has since moved on New York City, where he's set to appear on stage in David Mamet's "A Life in the Theater."
The double-height entranceway has a lovely curved, hand-carved staircase and antique slate floors, as well as a pair of elaborately carved Gothic arched doors that open on to the living room. There are vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and trusses, leaded glass windows and a stone-and-carved-wood fireplace.
The home has a glassed-in porch, formal dining room and renovated galley-style kitchen with black countertops and double sinks.
Peter Lorimer of the Peter Lorimer Group, Keller Williams, has the listing.
