Chuck E. Cheese's is recalling 1.1 million Light-up Rings given away as part of promotions, including to parent-teacher associations, after two incidents involving the tiny batteries inside the toys, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

Chuck E. Cheese's also is recalling 120,000 Star Glasses that were given away at birthday parties at the Irving, Tex.-based child-oriented pizza and amusement chain. No incidents were reported involving the glasses.

The CPSC said one child swallowed one of the batteries from the Light-up Rings and another shoved one up one of his nostrils. The batteries can be exposed if the plastic case is crushed or pulled apart.

No children were injured in the incidents, CPSC spokesman Scott Wolfson told Consumer Ally.
