Verizon CFO John Killian to Retire at End of This Year

Verizon Communications (VZ) said CFO John F. Killian will retire near the end of this year. No successor was named. Killian, 55, has been at the company for 31 years. He is retiring to spend more time with his family, the company said in a statement.

Before taking the CFO post, Killian was president of Verizon Business. He also worked in positions including senior vice president of the company's Domestic Telecom group.

"In the decades that I've worked with John, I have been continually impressed with his ceaseless energy, his loyalty and his love of the business," CEO Ivan Seidenberg said. "He has been a wonderful source of advice and counsel to me and to the rest of Verizon's senior team."
