Burger King (BKC) will have a new CEO once it is sold to 3G Capital.

3G today announced that it plans to appoint Bernardo Hees, a partner at the investment group, as CEO of the fast-food retailer once the deal is complete.

Hees was previously CEO of America Latina Logistica, a railroad and logistics company.

"Bernardo is an experienced executive with an impressive track record of enhancing performance at ALL," Alan Behring, 3G Capital's Managing Partner, said in a statement. "I know he will be an excellent steward of the Burger King brand."

Last week, 3G Capital and Burger King announced an agreement whereby 3G would buy the fast-food retailer for $4 billion. Once the deal is complete, which should be in the fourth quarter of this year, Behring will assume the position of co-chairman of the board, with current CEO John Chidsey also a co-chairman.

Hees joined 3G Capital as a partner in July. Previously, he worked in positions including CEO, CFO and COO at America Latina Logistica.
