Robot Unicorn Attack: The most magical game of all time lands on Facebook

Robot Unicorn Attack on Facebook

It's common knowledge that nothing inspires love and harmony like exploding robot unicorns and shimmering rainbows -- and Robot Unicorn Attack has both in spades. The online game first launched on in February 2010 and got one million plays in its first week. That was followed by an equally popular iPhone version in June, and, now, it has finally brought the magic to Facebook.

The main thing this game has going for it is the simple gameplay. It only requires two controls -- the jump and dash buttons -- which are the keyboard keys 'Z' and 'X', respectively. These buttons control a shiny unicorn flying through the sky like a shooting star, and you're responsible for piloting this pretty pony to safety, avoiding purple cliffsides and dashing your way through stars of white steel. All that is set to the game's hypnotic soundtrack, which features the 1994 hit "Always" by the UK band Erasure.

The Facebook version comes with a leaderboard, which gets reset weekly (something that Bejeweled Blitz fans are pretty familiar with). That means no more clicking on that "Post to Facebook" option to show the world how many hours of your life you've wasted. All your stats and those of your friends can be glimpse in one easy location.
