Toshiba Corp. (TOSBF) is recalling about 41,000 laptop computers because the computers may overheat, causing the area where the A/C adapter connects to the computer to melt and possibly burn.

The Japanese PC maker has received 129 reports of overheating notebooks, which have caused two minor burn injuries, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement. The recall applies to Toshiba's Satellite T135, TT135D and ProT130 laptops.

The company is directing customers to a page on its Website, where a downloadable program can detect whether the computer is overheating, shut off the computer's external power and direct the user to where the computer may be repaired for free.

The affected computers were likely sold between August 2009 and August 2010, and retailed for between $600 and $800.

Toshiba last week posted a recall for the computers on its Website.
