Google and AOL Expand Search and Advertising Partnership

Updated

Tying the knot a little tighter, Google (GOOG) and AOL (AOL) announced Thursday that they've renewed their partnership for another five years and expanded it to include mobile search and a content deal wherein AOL will provide video for Google's YouTube. The mobile search expansion comes at a time when AOL, which publishes DailyFinance, is taking a deeper look at mobile apps and content, in an effort to increase revenue streams.

The partnership also calls for Google to dish out additional search features and enhancements to AOL's network of websites, and offer up certain ad formats to those sites. The end goal is designed to improve user search experience and provide more relevant ads.
