Kirstie Alley on 'Dancing With The Stars?'

We won't be seeing Kirstie Alley on ABC's hit "Dancing With The Stars" because she's "too chicken," according to Alley's Twitter account.

Alley, 59, was rumored to be one of the contestants putting on their dancing shoes for the TV series when it returns for its eleventh season next month.

She wrote on Twitter: :Just a rumor. Imagine that. NOT doing DWTS this season... Way too chicken!! Maybe next season if Im invited again!!!"

Alley likes to dance. She told Oprah in 2005 that besides circuit training, dancing was a huge part of her fitness regime.

"In between each piece of equipment I dance really hard. And then I dance at the end for about 20 minutes," she said at the time. "I do this anywhere from four to six times a week. And then I pretend like I'm Muhammad Ali at a disco."

People Magazinesays contestants this time around will include Bristol Palin, the 19-year-old daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, David Hasselhoff, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino from MTV's reality show Jersey Shore, Audrina Patridge of MTV's The Hills, and singers Brandy and Michael Bolton. Actress Jennifer Grey, Florence Henderson, NFL stars Troy Aikman and Kurt Warner and Lindsay Lohan, who recently ended jail and rehab stints, have also been named as potential dancers.
