This local bar and grill features an extensive menu that includes farm-to-table items, a kids menu, and an extensive tapas menu. Main Street Bar & Grill offers both a full dining experience on the upper floor as well as a more casual experience in the intimate lounge area located on the bottom floor. The Sunday brunch is a foodie's dream and should not be missed. Offerings include made-to-order omelets, house-made sausage and bacon, a carving station, vegetarian fare, salads, desserts and more. The servers and managers are extremely knowledgeable about the food they serve as well as the perfect pairings of wine or beer to accompany a meal, so do not be afraid to ask questions. On Tuesday nights, the lounge offers live music as well as $3 dollar Vermont Pints, a Montpelier favorite. Described by the Boston Globe as "A Craft Beer Mecca," the Three Penny Taproom is the perfect place for a Vermont beer experience. It is situated in a narrow, street front property at 108 Main Street, but do not let the size of the space fool you. The owners have managed to get 22 drafts up and going and offer a rotating menu of beers. This is truly the place to go for beer in the capital city, including some of Vermont's own famous draughts. Although there is no defined happy hour at this local Montpelier bar and restaurant, the vast selection of unique brews and exquisite food is worth the visit. A small wine menu is also available, as well as a tapas menu and mixed drinks for those who do not wish to partake in the ultimate beer experience. The space is warm and inviting, and it's open from 3PM until last call!

Nestled on the edge of the Winooski River, Sarducci's is easily noticeable both for its unique location and the crowds that vie to get in over the weekend. The Mediterranean fare is among the best in the region, and the informal ambiance makes it a comfortable place to gather for special occasions (the Vermont legislature calls this restaurant a favorite). Although this Montpelier restaurant doesn't have a traditional happy hour, it more than makes up for it with its excellent food and extravagant interior décor. Enjoy a beautiful Vermont evening outside on the patio overlooking the Winooski River. The noise level at Sarducci's can be pretty high during their busy times, so if you are looking for a more intimate experience, try visiting on your lunch hour. Although the main focus at Sarducci's is their wood burning oven and delectable food, it also has an extensive red and white wine list. Come in and experience the food and wine pairings suggested by the extremely passionate staff. Prices on wine vary and range from $25 to $85 a bottle, which makes Sarducci's the perfect place for a variety of wine tastings. Guests can also enjoy one of the daily featured cocktails at this Montpelier Restaurant.
