A New York company is recalling 380,000 pounds of lunch meat to be used in sandwiches sold at Walmart stores nationwide because the meat may be contaminated with Listeria, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced.

Zemco Industries of Buffalo distributed the meat to delis, where it was used in sandwiches sold under the Walmart's Marketside Grab and Go Sandwiches brand. Listeria in food can cause a high fever, severe headache, a stiff neck and nausea in the young, frail or people with weakened immune systems. In rare cases, it can cause listeriosis, which can be fatal, the USDA says.
