78-year-old Man Rides Roller Coaster 90 Times in 1 Day

A 78-year-old Pennsylvania man has proven he's a fan of a Pittsburgh-area roller coaster by riding 90 times in one day.

Vic Kleman spent five hours on the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, Penn., helping to celebrate the classic wooden coaster's upcoming 90th anniversary.

A member of American Coaster Enthusiasts, Kleman says he has been riding the Jack Rabbit since 1959, and the marathon session brings his lifetime total to 4,000 rides. The amusement park presented Kleman with a certificate verifying his number of trips.

"It's fun. I'm not trying to break any records or anything" Kleman tells CBS station KDKA.

Talking to other riders kept him entertained during the rides, he says, "So, it goes faster than you think."

The Jack Rabbit, built in 1921, is known for its 70-foot, double-dip drop, which Kleman tells the TV station is best enjoyed with your feet flat on the ground. And he should know.
