Rudy Giuliani's daughter arrested for shoplifting

Updated

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani was known for ridding the streets of crime. Wonder how His Honor would deal with New York's latest accused high-profile villain: his 20-year-old daughter Caroline.

Caroline Giuliani was arrested for shoplifting Wednesday at the perfumery Sephora in New York City, allegedly for stealing makeup, the New York Post reported. She was booked at Manhattan's 19th Precinct.

The incident was said to have happened around 2 p.m. at a Sephora near where she lives with her mother (and the ex-mayor's ex-wife) TV journalist and hostess Donna Hanover, on the Upper East Side. When officials of the beauty retailer at East 86th and Lexington Avenue confronted her and discovered who Caroline's daddy is, a crowd of high-ranking officers showed up at the store, the tabloid said.

Caroline was presumably on summer break from Harvard University.

Giuliani's son Andrew was recently involved in a legal scuffle when he unsuccessfully sued Duke University for being cut from the school's golf team.
