Philippine police nabbed a murder and robbery suspect with the help of his Facebook account, according to reports.

Mark Dizon, a 28-year-old computer technician, was arrested yesterday. He is accused of killing nine people in three robberies at hotels and homes in Angeles City. The murder victims are six Filipinos, an American, a Canadian and a British citizen, and the area, near the former U.S.-run Clark Air Force Base, is outside Manila and home to many retired expats.

Dizon was Facebook friends with the daughter of one of the victims. A friend of her family showed his photo on the social networking site to witnesses to help identify him, police said.

Murder charges are expected to be filed soon. Dizon denies involvement in the killings and robberies, which started July 12.
