Perfect Chairs for Tiny Butts

A chair photo taken in NYC by Tammy StrobelIt can be tough to find cool chairs to fit in teeny-tiny spaces. However, you don't have to let your space go to waste. Say goodbye to big, bulky chairs and incorporate a few of these simple and well-designed pieces into your home.

1. Twin Chair by Philippe Nigro

The Twin Chair has two layers that can be stacked together for everyday use and separated when you need a few extra seats. Apartment Therapy pointed out, "The idea is one of those that's so clear and simple that we're all wondering why we didn't think of it earlier. We love the beauty of good design creating straightforward solutions to common problems."
2. The Murakami Chair by Rochus Jacob

Designed by Rochus Jacob, The Murakami Chair has an attached lamp and it's powered by rocking back and forth. A simple, elegant, rockin' idea.

Jacob said
, "Complexity is covered by simplicity. Advanced nano-dynamo technology which is built in to the skids of the chair and more efficient light sources such as the newly developed OLED generation makes it possible to build a rocking chair with a reading lamp running on electricity generated from the rocking motion. During daylight the energy gets stored in a battery pack."

3. The Emeco 111 Navy Chair

Coca-Cola is now making chairs out of their old soda bottles. Rented Spaces recently noted that they teamed up with the "furniture manufacturer Emeco to produce a new chair made from its recycled plastic bottles." The chairs have clean lines, a retro look, and are made in the USA!

4. Ikea POÄNG

The Ikea POÄNG is one of my favorite chairs. The POÄNG is comfortable, light weight, and easy to move. Plus the chair makes a slight rocking motion; it's perfect for weekend lounging and reading.
