Initial Jobless Claims Fell to 429,000 in Week Ending July 10

Initial jobless claims fell 29,000 to 429,000 in the week ending July 10. The revised figure for the previous week was 458,000.

The four-week moving average, a clearer measure of unemployment trends, fell to 455,250 from a revised average of 467,000 a week earlier, the Department of Labor said in a statement.
