Under the Radar: Fortress Investment Group
Hilary Kramer, editor of GameChangerStocks.com, says that if there is one stock to buy in the financial services group, it's Fortress Investment Group (FIG). The stock, which had a market cap in 2007 of more than $7 billion, now has a market cap of around $544 million. The reason: Many investors fear that inflows of fresh capital into the asset management company isn't good enough to turn the company around.
But Kramer says that many of its funds are actually close to their "high water marks." This is important because it means Fortress can charge incentive or performance fees on its hedge funds since it is recouping earlier losses.
In the video that follows, Kramer explains why investing in Fortress could be a very smart move. She says the stock has great upside potential in the next few weeks.
