Chrysler Group on Wednesday unveiled a special edition of its Challenger muscle car, dubbed Mopar '10, which will arrive in dealer showrooms next month. Available only in black, the limited production Challenger includes a choice of three accent colors: Mopar blue, red, or silver, on the exterior and interior.

Other features include a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine, gloss-black wheels, a black chromed grill, functional hood scoops and vintage hood pins reminiscent of the pony car era of the 1960s and '70s.

Sticker price for the Mopar '10 is $38,000 when equipped with an automatic transmission, with manual gearbox models costing an additional $1,000, officials said during a Web chat. Chrysler expects about 80% of the models to be equipped with automatic transmissions.

Limited to production of 500 units, the Mopar '10 Challenger will be built and finished at Chrysler's Brampton and Windsor, Ontario, plants. Sales are limited to the U.S. and Canada, officials said.
