Lexus owners: expect another recall from Toyota soon

Toyota's recall problems show no signs of letting up. On Thursday, company officials in Tokyo raised the possibility of recalling 270,000 new vehicles worldwide. The problem this time involves engine defects such as noise, idling or stopping in seven Lexus sedan models and the Toyota Crown sedan.

Lexus' U.S. Division issued a statement noting the reason for the potential recall is faulty valve springs. It identified the 137,000 cars affected in the U.S. as models IS 350, GS 350, GS 460, GS 450h, LS 460, and LS 600h L, but said it has not received any reports of accidents or injuries related to this issue.
