Tri-Union Seafoods has issued a recall of its Chicken of the Sea tuna, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced.

The recalled cans were not properly sealed and can cause the contents to spoil and harbor organisms that could cause food poisoning.

The recall only affects 12-ounce cans of solid white tuna packed in water.

The company said 1,105 total cases with the problem cans made it to retail outlets in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Utah, Pennsylvania, New York, Maine, Colorado, Indiana, California and Oregon.
