Lindsay Lohan's financial troubles continue to make headlines, now with the actress facing a lawsuit for failing to pay for thousands of dollars worth of upscale items.

A Los Angeles boutique called Church filed a lawsuit against Lohan for $16,880.63, which it claims the actress has owed them for six months, RadarOnline reports.

"Filing suit was the last thing we wanted to do, but after six months of not being paid, my clients were left with no choice," Bill Crocket, a partner in the law firm representing Church boutique told RadarOnline.com. "They started this business from scratch, and that they have been successful in attracting an elite clientele does not mean they should be abused."

According to court documents, Lohan "established a relationship with Plaintiff and on various occasions purchased clothes, jewelry and accessories" in a period ranging from "in or about November, 2009 and continuing through February, 2010."

The merchandise purchased by Lohan reportedly included shoes, jewelry, leggings, t-shirts and a leather trench coat. The owners of the boutique said they made an attempt to contact and resolve the situation with Lohan before filing suit.

The suit claims Lohan purchased $17,060.worth of goods, but paid only $180, leaving an unpaid balance of $16,880.63. The boutique is seeking the remaining balance from Lohan, as well as punitive damages, interest, court costs and lawyer fees.
