Snoop Dogg wants to rent a country?When Snoop Dogg was scouting locations for a new video, he settled on the alpine microstate of Liechtenstein -- but instead of a castle, estate or mountain meadow, the rapper set his sights on the entire country.

According to The Boombox, the Doggfather approached the government of Liechtenstein with a proposal to use the entire nation as a video set. Although Liechtenstein is tiny -- about 61.7 square miles of breathtaking scenery wedged between Switzerland and Austria -- Snoop was rejected not for his audacity, but because the country couldn't meet the rapper's demanding timetable.

"We've had requests for places and villages, but never one to hire the whole country before," explained Karl Schwaerzler, a Liechtenstein property agent. "It would have been possible, but Snoop Dogg's management did not give us enough time."

Liechtenstein, with a population of 35,000, is renowned for having some of the most picturesque landscapes in a region with no shortage of scenic riches. Snoop opted for Liechtenstein because he needed lots of wide-open spaces to shoot a new video.
