Supreme Court rules handgun ban unconstitutional

The Supreme Court is is in the headlines for more than just the Elena Kagan confirmation hearings. In the midst of that process, the Court has ruled against a decades-old handgun ban in Chicago, ruling it unconstitutional in a 5-4 decision on Monday.

The ruling against the ban doesn't necessarily make legally buying handguns easier now will it probably shift the gun-selling industry nationwide. States and municipalities are still trying to make buying guns harder, with limits on types of guns available for sale, waiting periods and other restrictions. Chicago's Mayor says he's considering measures like requiring training courses for gun owners.
