Los Angeles Rental: Hancock Park Art Deco 1-BR, $1,900
This apartment has three balconies and a large living space. Since the apartment is in an Art Deco building, it also has great touches that you can't get in other apartments. Hancock Park is a great neighborhood for many reasons (location! shops!) and it doesn't hurt that you could have a view of the Hollywood sign from your dining room window.

Part of a 12-unit building, this apartment has details from the Art Deco style. But it's not all old school - lucky for the new renter, it also has new amenities.
This one bedroom, one bathroom apartment is on the second floor of a three-story building and comes with a single parking space. As you enter the apartment you walk into a large living room with hardwood floors, large windows and a door that leads to the first balcony. 10-foot ceilings and crown moldings add to the charm and style of the room -- even before your own furniture is brought in.
You can view the Hollywood sign from the kitchen as well as from the formal dining room. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, and there is a window so you get sunlight and a nice view of nearby trees. The bedroom is spacious, and has four closets (eat your heart out, Carrie Bradshaw!). The blue-tiled bathroom is large and features a separate stand-up shower and bathtub.
Not only is the apartment large, but the neighborhood is wonderful. Located on Rossmore Avenue, this apartment is walking distance to Larchmont which has tons of great restaurants and shops. Los Angeles is a big city, but this 2 block stretch of shops has a small town feel and the farmers market on Sunday is a real treat.
If you work in Hollywood at Paramount, Gower or Raleigh Studios you are close to work. Since the location of the apartment is situated near Cahuenga Boulevard and the 101 Freeway, you can also get to Burbank and Valley locations quite easily. This apartment is a 10 minute drive to West Hollywood and the Grove, and it is also a short drive to Downtown and Beverly Hills. For those who tend to travel out of the city a lot by plane - getting to LAX will take about 25 minutes, but from this location you should also consider flying in and out of Burbank Airport, it will give you more flight options.
Though the median rent for an apartment in this zip code is almost $1,200, the big space, 3 patios, tons of closets, new kitchen appliances and location in one of Los Angeles premiere neighborhoods make this a great rental.
