Online video giant YouTube has added a new button to its website -- one that adds the distinctive sound of the vuvuzela.

The button, shaped like a soccer ball, can add the drone of the plastic trumpet to any clip, whether it's a pop star or a politician, Reuters reported.

Vuvuzelas have stirred up controversy at the soccer World Cup, with many fans complaining that their monotonous drone is irritating at best and sometimes infuriating. Some TV networks have tried to broadcast World Cup matches with the sound of the vuvuzela blocked out.

"YouTube always has had a way with pranks," tech blog TechCrunch said in a post about the new vuvuzela button. "Clicking it will activate an endless, incredibly annoying sound that sounds vaguely like a swarm of insects."
