Mafia Wars Global Cup event extended to midnight tonight

Feeling lucky, punk? You will be if you haven't completed your Mafia WarsGlobal Cup Collection yet -- the time to collect all six limited edition balls (and unlock a new weapon called 'Injury Time; 38A, 52D, get one step closer to scoring the 'Winners are Grinners' achievement) has been extended to 11:59 p.m. PT this evening.

Since I was out of town last week attending the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, I started this collection super late in the game. So I'm definitely feeling lucky. Today, I've already managed to secure the English Ball, French Ball, Italian Ball, Argentenian ball by fighting and doing regular jobs, and my fellow Mafia Wars friends sent me several Spanish Balls.

It has been difficult to secure the German Ball and Brazilian Ball, since those are drops from the special Global Cup jobs. I decided to apply a few hard-earned Marketplace credits to speed up the jobs and did the Alter the Vegas Odds job, which gives you a 50% chance of getting a ball. Sure enough, I scored the German Ball on the second try. Now I'm off to try to nab the Brazilian Ball and complete my collection just under the wire.
