Creative Shoe Storage For Small Spaces

The first thing I do when I get home is kick off my shoes. Most of the time my shoes end up in a big pile by the font door or thrown in the closet. To solve this problem, I've been on the lookout for customizable and creatively designed shoe racks for small spaces.

You'll be amazed by some of the awesome solutions I've discovered on the internet (not to mention the use of an oven-turned-shoebox as previosly discussed on Rented Spaces).

Shoes Racks Made from Painted Molding

Living Etc. posted an out of the box shoe storage idea a few days ago. Architectural plaster mouldings "make brilliant rails for your high heels. You can paint the mouldings and fix to the wall in rows so you can hook over the heels of your most treasured pairs."

If you don't want to buy plaster mouldings, look around your current apartment and use what's already in place.
