World's Most Luxurious Airline is Hiring

emirates-airlinesIf you saw 'Sex and the City 2,' you're probably still overwhelmed by the outrageously luxurious accommodations on the jet the girls flew to Abu Dhabi: individual "suites" rather than seats, a full-service bar, showers, consummately gracious and elegant flight attendants, etc. Was that real or Hollywood magic? Well the good news is that the real-life airline those scenes were loosely based on, Emirates, is not only a reality, but they're hiring!

That's right -- Emirates airline, Dubai's award-winning international carrier, is holding a series of recruitment sessions at various cities across the globe, and will hire 3,000 new cabin crew members in the next few months. There will be a total of four recruitment sessions in the United States: in Miami, Houston, Seattle and San Francisco. But if you want to apply, you'd better hurry. These recruitment sessions are coming right up.

Where and when

Miami: June 19 at the Crowne Plaza Miami International Airport

Houston: June 26 at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston

Seattle: July 10 at the Hotel Deca Seattle

San Francisco: July 17 at the San Mateo Marriot

emirates-airlineEmirates, which is based in Dubai, says that members of their cabin crew "enjoy high-quality living arrangements, full medical care and state-of-the-art facilities in training and at work." They're drawn from more than 120 nationalities, speak more than 80 languages and serve the carrier's fast-expanding network of over 100 destinations across the globe.

There are also employment opportunities for pilots -- more than 700 pilots worldwide will be hired over the next 18 months.

While U.S. airlines are having a tough go of it these days, recently, Emirates announced a net profit of $1.1 billion -- a record increase of 248 percent over the previous financial year. Last week, the airline announced an order of 32 additional A380 aircraft, taking the total firm order to 90 super-jumbos. The highly touted double-decker will make its return to the airline's JFK route on Oct. 31, 2010.

emiratesEmirates has also announced five new destinations for 2010: Tokyo, Amsterdam, Prague, Madrid and Dakar. How's that for flying to exotic locations? And fluent English speakers are needed on all flights.
