Biz Brief: Intuit Site Outages Disrupt Users of Popular Tax Web Sites

Users of Intuit's (INTU) popular tax and bookkeeping programs TurboTax, Quicken and QuickBooks have been frustrated by Web site outages for at least the past 12 hours.

Visitors to Intuit web sites were greeted the afternoon of June 16 with, "This web site is currently unavailable. We are working to restore it as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back shortly."

The company says no data was compromised and believes routine maintenance of the sites accidentally disrupted the service, according to ZDNet.
