Biz Brief: Former eBay Workers Say Meg Whitman Shoved Employee in 2007
In 2007, an employee, Young Mi Kim, claimed Whitman became enraged and forcefully pushed Kim, while in an executive conference room at eBay's headquarters. Kim was preparing Whitman for a news interview later that day. Two of the former employees said the company paid Kim a six-figure financial settlement to keep the matter confidential.
Kim was not injured in the incident, but did hire a lawyer and threatened a lawsuit. The matter was resolved with the help of a private mediator, the Times said, with Kim receiving "around $200,000," according to one of the former employees.
