Home TV Week in Review
This week we bring you updates on recent episodes of "Tough as Nails," "My First Place," "Designed to Sell," "Holmes on Homes," and more.
Here's what you missed....
"Tough as Nails" (HGTV Wednesdays 11:30p/10:30c )
Tough as Nails Cindy Stumpo, is laying down some whoop-ass as she has her crew put the finishing touches on their B Road project. Homebuilding and custom designing take a new turn with elaborate mantle pieces and sweeping staircases -- all the while battling measurement constraints. Yikes. To top it off, there's a crazy b-story involving Cindy getting arrested in order to raise money for a Muscular Dystrophy Charity event.
"My First Place"(HGTV Tuesdays 8/7c)
Imagine having a luxurious home rental, then struggling to find a home to buy that measures up to its standards. Conflict. Imagine all this taking place in Chicago. Finally, this couple finds a place to bid on, but the deal involves the husband agreeing to make an offer sight-unseen or else they may lose the place. If only I had those sorts of problems.
"Holmes on Homes"(HGTV Sundays 9/8c)
After moving to a new neighborhood, a widower decides to turn her basement into a comfortable living space for her daughter and grandchildren. Things start off well with a hired contractor. Then the basement project runs afoul. The botched basement renovation leads Mike and his crew to tear it all down and start from scratch. God bless Mr. Holmes.
"Designed to Sell"(HGTV Weeknights 6/5c)
Have you ever had a carpeted master bath with 1980s wallpaper that needs to be redone in order to look appealing for potential buyers? Well this Atlanta couple has. And they need the Designed to Sell team to help make the transformation so the family can move into a sought-after neighborhood.
