The Los Angeles Times reports that Disney (DIS) is looking to close most of its ESPN Zone restaurants around the nation, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The source also said that some of the locations tied to a Disney property would be saved. No additional details were provided on what may be prompting the move.

Located in seven cities throughout the U.S., the sports-themed restaurants opened in Baltimore in 1998.
