Travel + Leisure is out with a list of "America's 30 Dirtiest Cities", and perhaps surprisingly, smoggy Los Angeles does not top the list -- it comes in at No. 3.

Also ranking high in the cleanliness category are Portland, Denver, Austin, Santa Fe and San Diego. The Favorite Cities survey by T+L asked voters to rank top American cities in 30 different categories, including cleanliness.

The ratings were tough on some resort locales. While Honolulu came in as 8th cleanest city, Miami was ranked No. 7, as one of the dirtiest.
