Today, Friday June 4 is National Donut Day and to celebrate Krispy Kreme is giving away free donuts to anyone who stops in. No purchase is necessary and you can pick any variety of donut you fancy. If one doesn't satisfy your sweet tooth, or if you do not live near a Krispy Kreme, head over to Dunkin' Donuts for a free donut when you purchase any beverage. Get a free scoop of ice cream at Friendly's this Saturday, June 5, 2010 as part of Free Ice Cream Day. The freebie also marks Friendly's 75 years in business. Stop by between 12-5 p.m. at participating Friendly's restaurants for the free treat. Last year the chain gave out 500,000 free scoops of ice cream. I'm not sure if soft serve is included.Get a free sample of FEED whole grain granola when you share a little info about yourself. But don't wait too long as this sample won't last through the afternoon. To get the freebie, share your name, address, email, age, and favorite flavor of FEED granola. There are six flavors -- sweet mango, apple a day, blueberry almond, bittersweet'ness, cranberry coconut and raisin nut. When I signed up there were only two flavors left -- mango and bittersweet'ness. All the flavors are made without artificial flavors or sweeteners, without cholesterol or trans fat.
