We did a lengthy preview post
of Playdom's new game, Treetopia
, and it's been so much fun that we're keeping a very close eye on it. Today, Treetopia has released the first few items that are only available for its paid currency, gems. Gems are only attainable by purchasing them for real life money as far as we can tell (we're level 12 and still haven't been given any gems to spend) and so far can only be used on two new hairstyles and four new clothing options. We're sure Treetopia players are sad to see that the game is now releasing items for gems, but it was only a matter of time. Facebook games are free-to-play, but the game developers do need to make a profit with their games in order to keep operating them. Let's take a peek at the new hairstyles and clothes; read ahead for more information.
There are four new clothing choices available for your villagers, including two for females and two for males. Each of these outfits cost 10 gems, or roughly $2.50 each. For females, there is a Canopy Dress and a Starburst Blouse. For men, the Storm Armor and the Starburst Tunic will be sure to give your villagers that style you have been looking for. The Canopy Hairpin puts a cute little white hairpin in your women's hair, and the Storm Helmet is a perfect fit with the Storm Armor.
Are you disappointed with these choices? What kind of clothing and hairstyles would you like to see for your Treetopia villagers?
