L.A.'s Most Expensive Condo on Wilshire Sells for $7.27M

Updated

One of six penthouse mega-condos at Wilshire Boulevard's The Carlyle Residences closed last week for $7.267 million. Sale of the 5,194-square-foot home made it the highest-priced condominium sale on L.A.'s famed eight-lane boulevard of high-rise residential buildings since February 2008.

Built and developed by the Elad Group (the company that remade New York's historic Plaza Hotel into hotel/residences), the building is already a hit with some famous faces. To date, celebs like Bruce Willis, talk show host Larry King, L.A. Dodger Matt Kemp and crooner (and Jason Bateman's father-n-law) Paul Anka have all bought condos there, likely because of the building's clever celeb-friendly design.
