Pink security blankets with a stuffed giraffe's head that were sold last year at Target stores are being recalled because they are considered a choking hazard to small children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The 14-inch by 14-inch blanket has "I Love You" embroidered on it. The style number on the blanket is Y22230H and a sewn-in label says "Just One Year a division of Carter's." The blankets were sold exclusively at Target from January-August 2009 for about $9.

Balls on top of the giraffe's horns can come off, the CPSC said. Young children are prone to putting small objects in their mouths and swallowing one of the balls can cause an infant or toddler to choke.

The CPSC said about 44,000 of the Chinese-made blankets imported by Rashti & Rashti were sold.

If you have one of the blankets, the CPSC urges you take it away from children. Rashti & Rashti is offering a full refund.

To reach Rashti & Rashti, call (888) 594-3730 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Eastern.
