Brooklyn: Park Slope Home Tour on Sunday

Brooklynites: Here's an opportunity to take your skeptic Manhattan apartment-dwelling friends on a tour of Brooklyn's good life. "Why, of course we have gardens," you'll say.

No, Jennifer Connolly's record-breaking $8.5-million Prospect Park West townhouse isn't on the tour, nor is Maggie Gyllenhaal's in North Park Slope likely to be open, but here's what you will see....
Park Slope's 51st Annual House Tour will feature eight renovated townhomes dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries, with architectural styles that span neo-classical to neo-renaissance.

The May 16 tour runs from 12 - 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 or $25 at the door. Proceeds go to the Park Slope Civic Council. Visit their site for more information.

A panel discussion about "Greening Park Slope Brownstones," led by area architects, will follow the tour in the rotunda of Congregation Beth Elohim at 5:30 p.m.

The tour begins at Poly Prep Lower School, 50 Prospect Park West and First Avenue.
