Carnival Offers More Cruises to Bermuda

Carnival Cruise Lines is expanding the number of Bermuda sailings to 16 in 2011, the most the line has ever offered.

The line will offer a variety of six, seven and eight day cruises from April through November from four East Coast homeports.

Four seven-day cruises will depart from Baltimore on the Carnival Pride; four seven- and eight-day departures will leave New York on the Carnival Miracle; the Carnival Glory will sail once from Norfolk, Virginia in October; and the line will operate six six-day voyages on the Carnival Fantasy from Charleston, South Carolina.

All cruises will dock at King's Wharf in Bermuda. Six-day voyages will offer two-day calls, while seven- and eight-day cruises will stay in Bermuda for three days. Guests can add shore excursions to the Royal Naval Dockyard and Gibb's Hill Lighthouse to the cruise itineraries, or hit the links and enroll in Carnival's golf program.

Carnival's 2011 Bermuda departures include:

Baltimore (seven-day cruises on Carnival Pride) – April 10 and 17, Sept. 18, Oct. 2 and Nov. 6
New York (seven- and eight-day departures on Carnival Miracle) – April 14 and 21, and Sept. 11 and 27
Norfolk (six-day sailing on Carnival Glory) – Oct. 16
Charleston, S.C. (six-day voyages on Carnival Fantasy) – April 23, May 19, June 16, Aug. 25, Sept. 15 and Oct. 6
Reservations are currently open for departures from Charleston, and since Carnival is the only line offering sailings to Bermuda from the port in 2011 they are sure to sell fast. Carnival expects the other Bermuda departures will be available for bookings within the next few weeks.

"Bermuda is one of the world's most desirable cruise destinations, and offering three different cruise lengths from four East Coast homeports provides our guests an unprecedented variety of choices for visiting this beautiful island paradise," said Carnival president and CEO Gerry Cahill in a news release.
