Texas Rangers Buyer Heading for Home Near Jonas Brothers

Updated

If you've been following baseball, you probably know that Dallas billionaire Tom Hicks and his Hicks Sports Group is trying to sell the Texas Rangers baseball team. Hicks chose the lowest bidders, presumably because the deal allows him to hang onto some real estate near The Ballpark in Arlington, Texas. (Hey, the Super Bowl is around the corner.)

The buyers group led by Pittsburgh-based Chuck Greenberg, who's bringing in the cash, must be pretty darn confident that the sale will get the approval of the MLB even though the creditors are throwing a hissy fit. Why? Because Greenberg has a contract on a Westlake, Texas home in super elite and private Vaquero listed for $3.5 million. And he's buying it from a former Dallas Cowboy player.
