FishVille developer builds game to propose to girlfriend

Updated

We've all heard some of the weirder stories, like a Japanese man marrying a Nintendo DS game character, and a virtual marriage and affair on Second Life ending in divorce, but in the intersection of video games and marriage, there are paths that lead to happy endings.

Anders Howard, a game designer for Zynga, in an effort to provide his girlfriend Steffany with the most awesome and memorable marriage proposal ever (check out the pop-up window of the engagement ring!), got his co-workers together to create a video game marriage proposal. He named it -- Dinner Love and the Quest for Soup!

Already the news has made the rounds on Kotaku and the official FishVille Facebook fanpage.

On top of that, the game is available on Anders' website for anyone to play here.
