Miami House for Sale: West Kendall Oasis in the Trees, $950K
The 3,396-square-foot home has enough trees around it to support a few more hammocks beside the one pictured. Then everyone living there would be happy. I know $950,000 is a steep price for hammock space, but the owner is willing to negotiate. More on that later, here's what you get:The home is in the West Kendall suburb of Miami, and overlooks a golf course. It has four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half-baths. Two of the bedrooms are masters, one of which is upstairs with a master bath and sitting area, and a balcony overlooking the property. You'll probably want to budget for a gardener to keep the landscaping manicured.
The house also has a gated driveway, fireplace, wood floors, and room for boat and RV parking in its two carports and two-car garage.
But back to the hammock and the price. (Let's assume the hammock is part of the deal.) To make the deal more enticing, the owner will consider a trade for a smaller home in the area. The list price is $950,000, although a Trulia listing shows it at $899,000 in November.
If the Trulia price is accurate, it's closer to the price of similar homes for sale in West Kendall, which have sold for an average of $854,000. That could make having to pay extra for the hammock easier to swallow.
