Update:

Zynga has released a statement, confirming that the Tall Grass change is an unintentional glitch, and will be returning to normal.

From Zynga's Community Manager, Lexilicious:

"Hey Farmers,

There was a slight glitch with our most recent release that changed the appearance of the Tall Grass. This change is NOT INTENTIONAL, and our developers will be implementing a fix to return it to normal it as soon as possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate your patience. We'll update you with more information as soon as it's available."
