Universal Music songs coming to Music Pets, other Conduit Labs games

Updated

Those happy, dancing Music Pets are bound to get a lot happier with today's news of a deal between Universal Music Group and social game developer Conduit Labs. The deal will bring songs from Universal's stable of artists -- including U2, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and hundreds more -- to Conduit's lineup of music-based games including Super Dance, Loudcrowd and Music Pets, the last of which has more than 1.2 million monthly users.

The deal is great news for Conduit, which until now has filled its line up of 150,000 shareable in-game songs with music from independent labels. Recognizable stars from Universal's stable could go a long way towards helping Music Pets become the first breakout hit music game on Facebook.
