Toyota extends incentives

Updated

Good news if you're planning to buy a Toyota.

The Japanese carmaker says it is extending its U.S. sales incentives in April to try and keep sales up following recalls and suspended sales, due to unintended acceleration in some of its most popular models, like the Prius.

The incentives, which currently include 0%- financing, will be extended beyond April 5. It's unclear yet if future incentives will be kept the same.

Toyota's sales incentives have forced other top U.S. car makers to follow suit and created a price war. Toyota's sales rose 41% in March compared to a year ago and were up 87% versus February.
