I Want This House: Washington, D.C.'s Dupont Circle for $3.9M

The house at 2030 R. St. surely does the job as far as million dollar homes go, but it's location and the chance to live like a king are what attract me to it in the cosmopolitan neighborhood of Dupont Circle.
Dupont Circle is a traffic circle, neighborhood and historic district in Northwest Washington, D.C. The neighborhood has some of the city's finest museums and historic homes, and has a variety of ethnic restaurants, bookstores and private art galleries. The Phillips Collection, which currently has a Georgia O'Keefe collection on display through May 9, is nearby. And major bonus: The Dupont Circle Metro stop is a block away from the house.

The outside looks great, but the inside looks much better. The open floor plan and the large size of the house make it look like you could get lost inside, although that wouldn't be a bad thing. Each room looks stately enough to invite a diplomat over for tea.
Similar homes are for sale in the neighborhood for $2.19 million, although the uniqueness of this home may make it worth the extra $1 million.
