Asian Markets Rise as Beijing Real Estate Climbs Higher Despite Smog

Shares in Asia closed higher Friday.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 1.4% to 21,537.00 and China's Shanghai Composite Index inched up 0.3% to 3,158. In Japan the Nikkei 225 Index added 0.4% to end the day at 11,286.
