Sweet San Francisco Rental: 2-Bedroom Cathedral Hill Apartment, $2,200
In the film there's one of the most amazing car chases in cinema history that takes place on the hilly streets of San Francisco. The Cathedral Hill neighborhood, right on the cusp of those "Bullit" hills, is where this sweet rental is located. I drive by this apartment building all the time. It's a very cool building that incorporates touches of San Francisco's rich architectural history. This classy apartment has all the modern amenities of living in a slick health club.
Cathedral Hill, though, is sort of in no-man's land. The neighborhood is home to large condominium and apartment towers, as well as numerous churches built atop the hill -- hence the name -- such as St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, The First Unitarian Church of San Francisco and Hamilton Baptist Church. But don't worry, there's more to do than just go to church all the time -- everything in San Francisco is relativity close.
In fact, you can see St. Mary's Cathedral from your wall of windows. You can also view downtown San Francisco without being in the hectic beat of it.
What you get in this two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, laced with hardwood floors, is a beautiful haven with health club, security, valet parking, Laundry Facilities, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, exercise room, concierge, and conference room for those power meetings. (For some reason the rental ad lists that the apartment building boosts Fax service.)
What gets me about this place is the sundeck and rooftop deck. That would make for some great, wine-glass-filled, sunsets. This $2,200 rent is right around the medium price for a two-bedroom apartment in Cathedral Hill's many apartment towers.
