Vince Vaughn Drops Asking Price for His Chicago Rental, Again

Vince VaughnIt may have no resemblance to the fraternity house in the slapstick comedy "Old School," but that hasn't kept actor and Chicago native Vince Vaughn from dropping the rental price on his River North town house.

Vaughn, 39, knocked the $7,800 a month price tag down to $6,900 on his three-bedroom home, reports the Chicago Tribune. About a year ago, the 4,063-square-foot place, which he paid $1.4 million for in 2005, went on the rental market for $9,500 a month.

Since then, Vaughn has reduced the asking rent several times even though according to several reports he's left the original furniture in the nine-room town home. Why wouldn't somebody want to brag to their friends that they are sleeping in Vaughn's bed?

Celebrity touches on the bachelor pad include four, flat-screen televisions and a custom seven-person home theater with 90-inch screens. The place is also outfitted with a three-car attached garage, a master suite with walk-in closets, a jacuzzi and steam shower, and a custom seven-person home theater with 90-inch screens.

Vince Vaughn Reduces Price of Chicago Town Home Again But Vaughn, who on Jan. 2 married real estate agent Kyla Weber (above left with Vaughn at a Chicago Bulls game), doesn't need to house hunt in the Chicago area either. The actor also owns a $12 million duplex on two floors of the Gold Coast's Palmolive building, which he bought in 2006 in one of the city's priciest residential transactions ever.

Unlike other Chicago celebrities trying to unload properties, Vaughn is just trying to find someone -- who isn't looking to live it up "Old School"-style -- to make him a landlord. (And a nice one at that. According to the real estate listing, pets are welcome).
