Updated

It's hard to resist a good deal, even if it's a recall-plagued Toyota.

Toyota's new incentive plan is attracting the attention of potential buyers, according to Edmunds.com and kbb.com, the site of the Kelly Blue Book.

Edmunds.com says pricing research, or "purchase intent," for Toyota vehicles is up 40 percent to a 14-month high following Toyota's announcement on Tuesday to offer zero percent financing for as long as 60 months on eight of its most popular models. including the Avalon, Camry and Corolla.

Kelly Blue Book says shopper looking at Toyota cars rose 44 percent this week versus last week.

Toyota is hoping the incentives boost sales following a massive recall related to at least 34 deaths from sudden acceleration.
